Once again, the South Cotabato I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SOCOTECO-I) sustained its performance categorization as a Triple A and Mega Large Electric Cooperative for year 2018. In the recent EC Performance Awards and Recognition dubbed as the Golden Dagitab Awards on August 08, 2019 at the Philippine International Convention Center, SOCOTECO-I was awarded with Seven (7) major and minor awards which include Powerhouse Award for having sustained its highest performance categorization for Five (5) consecutive years.
We could have not done this without the support of each one who played significant roles in the endeavours of the Coop. Most importantly, we give our special thanks to our Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) for its ever supportive and loyalty to the Coop against all odds. To the Provincial Government of South Cotabato and the Local Governments in all of its municipalities, we thank you for your active participation and support in ways that you can to the plans and programs of the Coop. The Management would like also to give its salute to the Board of Directors for setting directions and for leading the Coop to where it is now. Finally, credit is also given to the employees for its dedication and commitment in their individual works which helped this Coop attain its goals. This Year 2019 is another challenging year for the Coop because of the onset of different trials, some are typical and some are new. But gladly, we are able to survive all of them especially the fight against issues on the sustainability of the existence of not only SOCOTECO-I, but all ECs in the country. We are triumphant to prove that we will not die a natural death and the continuous MCO empowerment through Information and Education Campaigns (IEC) actually maneuvered this Coop to succeed. We continue to work to attain our vision to become the first rate electric utility of choice by 2030. We believe that we can make it considering the various plans and projects that the Coop is currently implementing such as Systems Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Geographical Information System (GIS), Customer Service Center (CSC) and many more. All of these are for the benefits of the MCOs to have a better customer service experience with SOCOTECO-I.
