Net Metering Application

SOCOTECO-I promotes the adoption of net metering mechanism by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) which will credit end users for contributing excess energy into the grid and encourage the utilization of Renewable Energy (RE) which is beneficial for the environment.

This is a program under the Renewable Energy Act for customers who install on-grid, eligible RE Technologies such as wind, solar, biomass or biogas or other RE systems capable of being installed within their premises, with a capacity of up to 100kW to export excess electricity to  the distribution utility, i.e. SOCOTECO-I.

1. Letter of Intent

2. Application Form

Get the form from SOCOTECO-I and accomplish accordingly

3. Required Documents

Proof of Occupancy
Business – Secretary’s Certificate

4. Plant Parameters Form (PPF)

Get the form from SOCOTECO-I and have it accomplished by the installer

5. Certification of *RE Facility equipment

Get the certification from the installer

6. Amended Net Metering Agreement

Get this from SOCOTECO-I. Fill-out, sign and have it notarized.

7. Fixed Asset Boundary Document

Get this from SOCOTECO-I. Fill-out, sign and have it notarized.

8. Certificate of Compliance (COC)

    • Form 1 – applies to individuals
    • Form 2 –applies to juridical e.g. organizations
    • Php 1, 500 COC application fee paid to ERC

9. Updated Electrical Plan

Secure duly signed and sealed Electrical Plan from a Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE)

Note: The RE System must be compliant with the standards set in the PEC, PDC, DSOAR and the Net- Metering Interconnection Standards.
