“The only thing worse than training employees and losing them is not to train them at all and keep them.” (Zigziglar)
The manage ment upholds the belief that ignorance is more expensive than offering and giving valuable learning to its employees. Closing the year with almost all planned personnel training conducted, enabled us to recognize that competency training prepares our staff to perform better in their own fields of work.
Last November 28, 2017, the Anti-Theft or Republic Act 7832 training-seminar was successfully conducted at EMR Center, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato with the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) deputized Atty. Ronaldo Gomez, the Executive Chief for Mindanao and Engr. Reggie Obregon, the Engineering Head as the resource speakers. The seminar was attended by coop personnel from different departments whose tasks cover the implementation of Republic Act 7832 or Anti-Theft.
The attendees find the training essential in effectively understanding and interpreting the law on pilferage that has crucial impact to the technical and financial operations of the cooperative.
With the ERC-led training, SOCOTECO-I hopes that pilferage cases will diminish for a more reliable and efficient electric service to the public.
