The South Cotabato I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SOCOTECO-1) is adjudged once again as Triple AAA Electric Cooperative (EC) by the National Electrification Administration in the recent 2015 EC Lumens Awards held on December 2, 2015 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City. Headed by NEA Administrator Edita S. Bueno with special participation of Former DOE Sec. Carlos Jericho L. Petilla, the event is made special as it highlighted the untiring efforts of all Electric Cooperatives in ensuring power distribution reliability to their respective areas. The event is aimed at giving due recognition to performing ECs assessed and evaluated through their 2014 performance.
Moreover, SOCOTECO-1 also received citation for its strong support and significant contributions to the Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) of the National Government. The coop is among the ECs that had contributed the highest household connections from 2011-2015; extending further to light more sitios and puroks. The coop is annually assessed through its overall performance using the Key Performance Standard (KPS) set by the NEA. The triple AAA award is given to ECs having outstanding financial, institutional and technical performance being a distribution utility. The cooperative acknowledges that all these are attained not only with the management and board of director’s efforts but with the strong support of all its member-consumers.
