Adopt-a-school equips students with tools to learn

This year marks the 10th year of the coop’s adoption of the Kindergarten classroom in Colombasinong Elementary School of, Barangay Colongulo, Surallah, South Cotabato.

On July 11, 2017, SOCOTECO-I officially turned-over the new improvements in the classroom. The coop replaced a portion of the ceiling and installed plywood to provide a better wall for the room. The walls were also repainted. The broken orbit fan was also changed and part of the leaking roof replaced.

Dir. Mario Mondejar addressed the school children in a simple program prior to the hand over of gifts for the children like school bags, pencils, sharperners, papers, crayons, plastic envelopes, coloring books and toys

Ms. Yvette Quinatac-an, the Teacher In-Charge and Kindergarten Teacher, Ms. Judith Valde expressed their appreciation to the cooperative for all the gifts that were given, both also hoped that we will continue this activity in the future.

The OIC-General Manager, Engr. Raffee Edsel B. Epistola, appreciated the efforts of the parents for their support to their children. He also encouraged the children to focus on their studies.

The adopted kindergarten room, humble as it may look, has already graduated 10 batches of school children since the coop adoption in 2008.
