The cooperative successfully conducted its 37th Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center, (SCGCC), City of Koronadal, South Cotabato on 29 August 2015. A total of four thousand one hundred seventy six (4, 176) member-consumers from the 11 Districts of the Coop actively supported and participated in the annual event.
HIGHLIGHTS
The AGMA was celebrated with a ceremonial switch-on displaying all energized areas under the 2014 Sitio Electrification Program of the National Government. This remains to be one of the significant achievements of the Coop for the year- lighting more homes together with the National Government.
A REFERENDUM was also successfuly facilitated through Representatives from DepEd being the AGMA Referendum Committee. This is in compliance with Section 25-A of the IRR of RA 10531; mandating all non-stock electric cooperatives to hold a REFERENDUM that will determine the ECs membership to remain as non-stock, non-profit EC under the NEA, to convert as stock cooperative under the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), or to convert into stock corporation under the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC). Election result determined that the majority opted to remain as Non-stock Non-profit EC under NEA which earned two thousand five hundred seventy (2,570) votes.
Dignitaries from the national down to the local government also graced the event Hon. Carlos Jericho L. Petilla, Former DOE Secretary as the resource speaker, Cong. Ferdinand L. Hernandez, South Cotabato Representative for the 2nd District and Gov. Daisy Avance-Fuentes represented by Provincial Administrator Larry De Pedro and Mayor Peter B. Miguel of the City of Koronadal.
Other activities include appreciation of outgoing Board of Director, Pablito Q. Mecla of Tampakan District, oathtaking of newly elected members of the Board, Dir. Osiel Alexis P. Par of Tampakan District and Dir. Franklin S. Octaviano of Banga District, and mass oathtaking of all new MSEAC members.
