MEDIA RELEASE

ADVISORY TO MEMBER-CONSUMER-OWNERS OF SOCOTECO-I

In compliance with the advisory of the Energy Regulatory Commission dated October 29, 2020, we wish to inform our member-consumer-owners (MCOs) that the South Cotabato I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SOCOTECO-I) will not be implementing disconnection of electric services until December 31, 2020; for unpaid bills not higher than 100 kWh/month. The maximum lifeline consumption level approved by ERC is 50 kWh/month.

This policy of no disconnection shall cover the September to December 2020 billing period (effectivity of the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act last Sept. 14, 2020).

MCOs who have the ability to pay are encouraged to settle their bills within the original due date to help manage the cash flow in the energy supply chain and ensure continuous supply of electricity.

Government Offices, Government Agencies, Government Owned and Controlled Corporations, and other Government instrumentalities are not covered by this advisory.
