5 March 2018-Coop gentlemen honoured women with a serenade, red roses and mug in celebration of the Women’s Month. This is one way of recognizing the existence, struggles and value of all women and to promote empowerment as women are considered active contributors to and claimholders of development.
The cooperative advocates women’s rights in its work place. The cooperative has in fact institutionalized and adopts various Gender and Development Programs (GAD) parallel with the International and National policies in promoting Women’s Rights including equal access to opportunities and participation of women in the workforce, promotion of Breastfeeding Act and etc.
The coop commits to empowering women in the workplace as the theme goes, We Make Change for Women.
