Luzminda Lagasca wins KOR 1-B District Election

The re-scheduled District Election for Koronadal I B was successfully conducted on January 21, 2018. A total of one thousand nine hundred forty eight (1, 948) votes was casted for Luzminda M. Lagasca declaring her as the winner against the one thousand for hundred (1, 400) votes casted for her opponent Leonard O. Bonzo. Covering fourteen (14) barangays, a total of three thousand three hundred forty eight (3,348) votes was casted or an equivalent of 48.63% election turnout for Koronadal I-B.

The election was facilitated by the District Election Committee (DECOM) and Precinct Election   Committee (PECOM) composed of public school teachesr guided by the 2014 New Guidelines in the Conduct of District Election for Electric Cooperative.

District Elections are scheduled in the Month of July except last year after Proclamation No. 216: Martial Law and suspension of the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus in the whole of Mindanao, issued by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on May 23,2017. This opted the National Electrification (NEA) and the Cooperative to postpone the conduct of 2017 District Elections for security reasons.
