3. Meter Box with 1″ thick wood panel of good lumber bolted at the meter pole, within 5.5 ft – 6ft above ground level

4. For connections within 70 meters from tapping pole, meter pole must be located outside perimeter fence for accessibility, otherwise, meter pole must be located adjacent to the tapping pole

Service Drop
  1. Maximum distance is 200 meters from tapping point without transformer; Maximum of 500 meters from tapping point with transformer
  2. Provision of 40-60 amperes circuit breaker enclosed in a protective box at the meter pole for connections with more than 100 meters distance from tapping pole
  3. For every 50 meters span service drop wire, a minimum 1.25″ dia x 20ft height GI Pipe as support pole with concrete footing and spool insulator must be provided by customermetering-pole-100m-more
  4. Service Drop Wire is Duplex #6
Service Entrance
  1. Minimum of 8.00mm2 size of copper wire, color coded with black as live wire.
  2. Minimum size of service entrance conduit is 3/4″” dia RSC pipe
Remarks

Prev is 4.5KW, constraint – no more 5KVA transformer resulting to utilization of higher KVA yet underloaded, system loss contribution

Circuit breaker installation to protect distribution system from tripping of transformer in case of short circuit at the customer side

Connection Standards for Residential

7kW AND ABOVE LOAD

Transformer

7kW and above – exclusive use transformer, transformer pole, wires and accessories (if needed) to be provided by coop at the cost of the customer

kWhMeter

Class 200 kWhmeter

Meter Pole

If with exclusive transformer pole, meter pole is not required, otherwise, standards shall follow using Residential – below 7kW load

Service Drop
    1. Provision of 40-60 amperes circuit breaker enclosed in a protective box at the meter pole for connections with more than 100 meters distance from tapping pole
    2. For every 50 meters span service drop wire, a minimum 1.25″” dia x 20ft height support pole must be provided by customer
    3. Service drop size is based on load as indicated in the electrical plan
Service Entrance

Based on electrical plan

Remarks

At present, transformers are provided by customer. Proposal for coop to supply transformer.
