Great years had passed and Electric Cooperatives (ECs) still battle for the viability of its overall operations and SOCOTECO-I proves to hold its commitment as its top priority. Committed to serve its more than ninety thousand (90,000) member-consumers and stakeholders in its coverage area, the Cooperative still strives for innovative methods that would show its tenacity despite the demands and pressures that it faces from all aspects of the power industry.

SOCOTECO-I is committed to value quality service thus, its outstanding performance has been duly recognized with corresponding awards. In the 2017 NEA-EC Consultative Conference and LUMENS Ceremonies, the Cooperative garnered Six (6) awards namely (1) Triple A categorization Award, (2) Model Headquarters Facilities Award, (3) EC Belonging to the Poster of NEA’s partners in Capacity Building Program, (4) EC Management Award for Exemplary General Manager, (5) EC with the least number of consumer complaints and (6) Best in Collection Performance Award.  These credits to the strenuous efforts and work force of its Board of Directors, Management and employees in giving the well-deserved, satisfying and efficient service to its member-consumers. In addition to its accomplishments, the Cooperative had secure the 9001: 2008 Certification for Quality Management System. This certification values the important factors that drive the Cooperative towards the attainment of its corporate goals that is, to be a service oriented institution which is equipped and operates in accordance with the International Standards on Quality Management System in terms of excellent service.

The well-versed Policy Directions of the Board of Directors have been profusely strengthened by the resilient leadership of the top management and great efforts of the employees. This results in the well diverse activities and programs that create goodwill benefit to its member-consumers at large. Since the implementation of the Project Liwanag program of the Cooperative, the dimmed streets of some barangay beneficiaries have been gradually illuminated by the installation of street lights and for having a positive inclination, this has a succeeding tranches of implementation. In this year, the Oplan Lingap Barangay program has been implemented, serving the Eleven (11) districts with one (1) barangay each to benefit. This program aims to bring all the services of SOCOTECO-I to the selected barangay for two (2) days.  On another hand, it is the main priority of the Cooperative to provide utmost convenience to its member-consumers through the automation of Business Processes and securing the Short and Long Term Power Supply to ensure enough power sources. This is to continuously deliver and ensure a reliable and efficient electric service.

 

SOCOTECO-I believes that its human resource plays an important part in its overall operation thus, in order to intensify their productivity, a thorough conduct of trainings and seminars for the employees is being considered. The Cooperative created the SOCOTECO-I Foundation, to intensify its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs and activities. Through the strong and strategic programmatic direction of the Foundation’s program development and implementation, this would help in uplifting the economic conditions of our marginalized member-consumers. The aim and desire of the Management and the Board of Directors to be categorized as a DIAMOND Electric Cooperative (EC) is still on its headway. Attaining such categorization would require first-rate performance in all aspects of its technical operations, institutional services and its financial ideals and creating well manifested innovations that would enhance the best interest of our member-consumers and stakeholders and by taking its toll, the Cooperative is capable to surpass and receive such award.

The splendour of Rural and Countryside Electrification had established great contributions that lobby notable progress and development to the City and Municipality of our coverage area. We, the Board of Directors, together with the Management and Employees as the ardent workers of this Cooperative, are committed to serve our valued member-consumers in nothing less but our Finest.
